Drainage area polygons for each RF3 river reach flowing in Pennsylvania.  Includes percentage land-use information from the National Land Cover Dataset for each river reach drainage area.

Purpose:

To assess land use along a river reach scale for use in the Pennsylvania Aquatic Community Classification project being preformed by the Pennsylvania Natural Heritage Program.

the number of NLDC cells of each cell type RF3 reach drainage area were tabulated for all RF3 watersheds (Tabulate areas option) and then exported as a DBF file.

Total Number of cells for each RF3 reach drainage area were calcuated and then used to determine percent of land use class for each RF3 reach drainage area. At this time field names were changed to more clearly denote what land type each cell class represents ( see http://landcover.usgs.gov/classes.asp ).  Summary land use types (total forest, total agriculture, total developed, total wetland) were also added. This was then exported as a seperate DBF.
